0. Test Driving the X1-CR FTE Buggy

Here's a full scene from our video 'Do it in the Dirt - Volume 3' due to be released this April 2007. The end of the clip shows Scott Hughes trying his best to pass Chad Bradley in the 2006 ROAR Offroad Fuel Buggy Nationals held at The Farm II in North Carolina.

1. Front End

The front of the X1-CR is as solid as can be.

2. Ackerman

Here's a weak spot on the kit: The bearings in the ackerman are weak and are prone to coming apart after time. Check them frequently for excessive play.

3. Front Hubs

The coolest thing on the Jammin kits are the T-pin design to hold the front CNC hubs in place. No screw stripping can possibly happen here!

4. Weak Part

Here's our one large grip with this kit: After all the huge upgrades and CNC parts the front upper arm holder is made of a brittle plastic piece. We broke this same part on our X1-CRT Truggy shortly after test driving it. Replace it ASAP with the CNC piece!

5. Clutch

The clutch is the standard blue aluminum with gold springs. Works like a champ!

6. Throttle Linkage

Jammin kits come with two types of brake levers. I use the optional setup. It's cleaner and easier to tighten the brake as the pads wear.

7. Wing Stay

We upgraded the wing supports with alloy braces. They're stronger and will keep the spoiler in place.

D. Throttle Return 1

ROAR and RC Pro events will require a throttle return on your carb. I used a small rubber band to met the requirement.

O. Action Shot 1

Driving the X1-CR reminds us of driving the Kyosho MP7.5 Kanai II. It was so forgiving and easy to drive.

P. Action Shot 2

You'll feel very comfortable with the X1-CR in the air. It jumps consistently and the Big Bore shocks have no problem keeping the buggy planted during landings.
